Domaine Gauthier – a love affair with wine

The family wine estate stands in the town of Saint Hilaire de Clisson, just a stone’s throw from Clisson, south-east of Nantes. It extends over 30 hectares in the Sèvre et Maine appellation area. Ten different grape varieties are planted on mainly granite terroirs, which brings great richness to our wide range of wines.

Since 2012, the estate has been a member of the independent French winegrowers’ organisation known as the Syndicat des Vignerons Indépendants de France. Always aiming to make production processes more eco-conscious, our vineyard management follows the principles of responsible farming. In line with these commitments, Domaine Gauthier was granted Level 3 HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale, which means high environmental value) certification in 2020.
